ABSTRACT

This is a collection of abstract art that I have created over the years. Abstract Art does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of external reality, but instead uses a visual language of shapes, colors, forms, lines and textures to create a composition, which focuses instead on evoking emotion, feeling, and personal interpretation.

I have a wonderful time painting abstract. As evident by my work, I still hold onto that slight representational aspect, even in this Abstract work. Acrylic paint is the medium I tend to paint with when doing abstract. I will even find myself mixing latex acrylic house paints with some works. I like the playful aspect of simply mark-making, only following my artistic intuition and emotions I am trying to evoke or capture.
